Steve Stiversis a formerRepublicanmember of the U.S. House, representing Ohio's 15th Congressional District from 2011 to 2021. On April 19, 2021, Stivers announced he would be stepping down effective May 16, 2021, to become the President and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Prior to his election to the U.S. House, Stivers served in the Ohio State Senate, representing District 15 from 2003 to 2009. Stivers began serving in the Ohio Army National Guard in 1985. On February 10, 2017, Stivers was promoted to the rank of brigadier general. He was called to active duty in 2004, deploying to the Middle East as a battalion commander.
