My heritage is Mexican American with Indigenous roots, and my identity, values, and loyalty are firmly rooted in the United States. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to better communicate with and serve our diverse community. I hold a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in accountancy. I previously served as a math teacher with HISD and currently work as an accountant, owning and operating a multi-service office, through which I have served the community for decades.
