He was blessed to be a student of the culture naturally, through the grace of his mother, Syble, who started her career as an English Professor a month after his birth at her Alma Mater, Texas Southern University in 1989. After his inaugural year of life, his mother started her tenure at Houston Community College and sent Chance to Palestine, Texas, Syble’s hometown, to live with his grandmother, Elsie, so he could spend his adolescence with his extended family and learn the values of living life off of the land. At age 5, Chance returned home to 3rd Ward and attended St. Mary’s from kindergarten through 3rd grade. After that he broadened his horizons by attended Mark Twain Elementary, Pershing Middle School, and Lamar High School. Politics is everything to Chance, however within the past 10 years, he’s realized that the balance of power between the political parties have become increasingly polarized and it has led to a tug of war of bureaucracy on both sides. Chance compares it to The Bloods and Crips, he believes that congress favors party over people, which is why he’s running as an Independent. Chance wants to work with both sides of the aisle to bring the country together and make it a better place for everyone. Chance Davis is a 1st Generation Houstonian, born and raised in 3rd Ward, and it’s obvious through the aura he emits. He was blessed to be a student of the culture naturally, through the grace of his mother, Syble, who started her career as an English Professor a month after his birth at her Alma Mater, Texas Southern University in 1989. After his inaugural year of life, his mother started her tenure at Houston Community College and sent Chance to Palestine, Texas, Syble’s hometown, to live with his grandmother, Elsie, so he could spend his adolescence with his extended family and learn the values of living life off of the land.
