Max Sieben Baucuswas the U.S. ambassador to China under the Obama administration. Baucus was confirmed by the Senate on February 6, 2014, by a vote of 96-0.Baucus then resigned his seat in the U.S. Senate. He served as a Democratic member of the Senate from 1978 to 2014, representing Montana.
