Our healthcare system has been destroyed by profit motivation and it is time to follow the lead of every other leading country and move to single-payer health insurance. With the share of medical costs eating up more and more of the family budget this crisis has become critical.</li><li>Affordability is a huge issue for Idahoans. It is a two-pronged problem. First, wages in this state have not kept up with the cost of living and, second, costs continue to increase at a record pace. From groceries to housing it is becoming more and more difficult to keep up. I support increasing the minimum wage, creating affordable home ownership opportunities, and investing in infrastructure to make Idaho an attractive option for new business.</li><li>Protecting public lands is also a high priority for my campaign. Idaho is home to some of the most beautiful areas in the country. Our farmers and ranchers face severe labor shortages as guest workers meet so many obstacles trying to enter the country legally for seasonal work.
