(Again, lower our taxes and get out of the way. Shame on Washington for their relentless efforts to increase tax burdens on We the People.) What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder? My best skill is COLLABORATION. I love bringing the right people together in a common cause. I do it every day in my work. What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office? I think at this time in our history it is critical that members of Congress understand and follow the Constitution. It sounds simple but we see every day how so many of our elected officials have forgotten their oath to defend the Constitution. After the Constitution was signed, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay wrote the Federalist papers. My platform is very concise: • Strict adherence to the limits of the Constitution, and • Any legislation I vote for must be good for individuals, households, families, and businesses, and • It must be constitutional. There are a lot of good ideas that are unconstitutional. Those “good ideas” can be addressed by the States and the People, as stated in the 10th Amendment. If elected: •\tI PROMISE to defend the Constitution. •\tI PROMISE I will never dishonor your trust, nor the trust of Idaho, nor of the United States. •\tI PROMISE I will be informed and keep you informed. •\tI PROMISE to work with a sense of urgency and NEVER get comfortable in this office. •\tI PROMISE to be relentless in my efforts to serve you and honor the promises made. I may not win a lot of friends at first, but I will earn respect as I keep my promises. With that respect I will find those that share my beliefs and together we will make a difference. There is much to do. Together, with We the People, we can get it done. To do so I will use the best skill my Heavenly Father has given me, COLLABORATION. I love bringing the right people together for a common cause. As a Business Development Manager for a technology firm in the Treasure Valley, I bring together our engineers, scientists, and PhDs with those of my customers to develop new and amazing technologies. I look forward to working with members of the Senate, from both sides of the aisle. The Constitution is the ruling document and must be followed.\nNote: Ballotpedia reserves the right to edit Candidate Connection survey responses.
