And what does he have to show for it? Absolutely nothing. He refuses to hold in-person town halls, he has a lifetime score of 10% with the AFL-CIO, he voted for the Bigger Bullshit Bill that will $5 TRILLION to the national debt and cut $1 trillion in Medicaid for low income families that need health care, and he’s the guy who said he is “not going to push at all against President Trump” when asked about releasing the Epstein Files. I’m fighting against that, for you. 2. My opponent is an clown: Glenn Grothman has served the last 30+ years in politics, so long that he’s become reliant on it. And what does he have to show for it? Absolutely nothing. He refuses to hold in-person town halls, he has a lifetime score of 10% with the AFL-CIO, he voted for the Bigger Bullshit Bill that will $5 TRILLION to the national debt and cut $1 trillion in Medicaid for low income families that need health care, and he’s the guy who said he is “not going to push at all against President Trump” when asked about releasing the Epstein Files. His horrible record speaks for itself. Why I'm different:\r\n\r\nMy priorities and vision are clear: uplift the working poor, grow the middle class, hold the rich and powerful accountable. I support making health care and housing more affordable and accessible, defending our democracy, and creating an economy that works for every day Americans. This is not left vs right, but top vs bottom. Grothmans (70) does not have the understanding to lead us forward. I'll fight for fair wages, vocational training, and tax incentives for manufacturers to bring jobs home. The most important characteristics for an elected official are integrity, accountability, and a deep commitment to public service, rooted in listening to constituents over special interests. As a pragmatic progressive from Wisconsin's, I've embodied these in my service on the Oshkosh City Council and Winnebago County Board, where I fought for working families by lowering taxes and working with colleagues across the political aisle to improve our community. That's why we need a fresh start after 30 years of Glenn Grothman's failed leadership. Above all to serve and defend the Constitution of the United States. Not picking and choosing which to follow when it's convenient. What was your very first job? How long did you have it? My first unofficial job was breaking down boxes for my dad at his self-ran business fixing computers. After that it was at Culvers. Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics? No but it gives good insight. I am the youngest candidate running in the Democratic primary, but have the most experience serving in local government. I will get to work on day one. What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade? Over the next decade, the United States faces critical challenges that demand bold, principled leadership. I see four key issues: Rising Costs: Skyrocketing costs for housing, health care, and education crush working families. In WI-06, factory closures and wage stagnation exacerbated by Glenn Grothman’s support for corporate tax breaks and trade deals have left communities struggling. I’ll push for fair wages, vocational training, and Medicare expansion to lower costs, alongside tax incentives to bring manufacturing jobs back, ensuring economic security. Threats to Democratic Institutions: Partisan gridlock and disinformation, fueled by leaders like Grothman who’ve backed divisive policies, erode trust in democracy. His votes against election integrity measures and support for deficit-bloating bills like the Bigger Bulls*it Bill show disregard for fair governance and fiscal responsibility. I’ll champion transparency to rebuild trust and unity in WI-06. Rise of AI and Economic/Environmental Impacts: AI’s growth threatens jobs in manufacturing and agriculture while straining energy resources. I’ll advocate for retraining programs to prepare workers, tax policies to incentivize sustainable AI development, and investments in renewable energy to mitigate environmental impacts, protecting Wisconsin’s economy and natural heritage. Deteriorating Foreign Relations: Strained alliances weaken our global standing. Grothman’s isolationist votes, like opposing NATO funding, undermine partnerships critical for trade and security. I’ll support diplomacy-first policies, strengthening ties with allies to boost Wisconsin’s agricultural exports and secure supply chains, ensuring stability for WI-06. I will also oppose starting wars. What are your thoughts on term limits? I support term limits but do not have a solid position on the specific max length one should be able to serve. I am open-minded on the issue. Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking? Yes, but that is nearly impossible with the amount of outside influence poisoning our politics from corporate PACs and special interests, to tech billionaires and foreign leaders influencing policy making. If we ever hope to get to this level of working together, we need major reforms. A policy I crafted aims to do just that: \"The Clean Congress Act\" is a transformative reform to restore trust in Congress by eliminating conflicts of interest and corporate influence. This comprehensive initiative bans stock trading by members of Congress, prohibits former members from lobbying, strengthens gift rules, and bans corporate Political Action Committee (PAC) contributions to federal candidates. Public support for such reforms is overwhelming, with 86% of Americans favoring a ban on congressional stock trading, highlighting the urgent need for change. These measures address the concerns of WI-06’s working families, who deserve a government that serves their interests, not those of wealthy corporations.
