For the past 25 years, I have worked on some of the nation’s most significant cases, including the Bernard Madoff and Allen Stanford investigations while at FTI Consulting, a global firm specializing in financial investigations, technology, and economics. \r\n<p>After graduating from Baylor with a degree in accounting, I began a career in public service at the White House under President George H.W. Bush. In 1996, I graduated with a masters degree in journalism from Univ of Missouri and became a financial investigator, combining my accounting and reporting skills to uncover fraud and corruption. As former Republican who became a Democrat in 2024, I believe in service over partisanship and serving the people with integrity and decency.\r\n</p>\nAchieving the rank of Eagle Scout instilled in me the importance of community service at a very early age. For the past 30 years, I have served my community through my church in Beaumont (First United Methodist Church) and Washington, DC (Foundry United Methodist Church) where I have worked on various homeless and community programs. I have also worked directly with the Trever Project and on committees for a professional theater company.
