The three main culprits: interest payments on the debt itself, impending bankruptcy of Social Security,and Medicare, which is about tobe overwhelmed by our aging population.</li><li>Despite being a nation of immigrants, our current immigration programs and policies are completely inadequate. Allowing unlimited asylum and temporary protected status applications results in the system being overloaded and over run. Limiting high skill and low skill work visas results in high labor costs and a shrinking workforce. On top of those flaws, we have thousands more immigrants in limbo (The Dreamers) who deserve a path to citizenship.</li><li>I support funding the best military force in the world and using it RARELY. I will legislate to remove all Authorizations for Use of Military Force currently in effect and force the Executive branch to abide by Article One of the Constitution, which gives Congress the power to declare war. I will legislate to block the use of the US military as a police force within the U.S. borders.
