At age 11, Taylor’s family relocated from Brooklyn to Nassau County where she attended Turtle Hook Jr. M.S. and Uniondale H.S. Taylor then graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta and Hofstra University on Long Island with a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Post college, Taylor did business consulting where she helped businesses increase productivity and profitability, all while balancing marriage and motherhood. In Nov. 2018, Taylor was elected to the NYS Assembly, AD 18. She allocated funds for homeownership and for student transportation services, addressing a transportation desert on Long Island. In addition, she championed a H.S. construction trade program at Roosevelt, creating a pathway for future success with a good paying job. This was the first such program in NYS and 1 of only 7 in the United States. Taylor fought for long-needed repairs to hazardous roads on LI and secured state funds for major pothole repair. Taylor completed a doctorate in Educational Policy and Leadership in 2024, while running for an open seat in the NYS Senate. She did not win. Taylor continued with philanthropy, while also consulting with not-for-profit organizations to amplify their work. She is running for U.S. Congress, CD 4.
