I played baseball and football at Northview High School, and in 1988 I was drafted in the 11th round by the Atlanta Braves as a catcher. Although a serious shoulder injury ended my career sooner than I hoped, the discipline, teamwork, and resilience I learned on the field shaped the rest of my life. \r\n</p><p>I’m running for Congress because working families deserve leaders who will actually fight for them. In recent years, we’ve seen behavior from Donald Trump that puts ego and division ahead of country — attacking democratic institutions, undermining truth, and pitting Americans against one another.
