I went on to earn an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University. \r\n<p>I have been on the Cape May City Council for eight years, Mayor for six, elected three times. I have not raised taxes in the last seven years and we have built a new library and Fire House and we are in the process of building a new Police Station and upgrading our Lifeguard Headquarters to increase space for female lifeguards. \r\n</p><p>Outside of being Mayor I helped found and build the Harriet Tubman Museum and the Cape May Point Arts and Science Center. I was proud to work with many volunteer community members to restore the historic parsonage of the Macedonia Baptist Church to become \r\nI have proudly served on the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation Board and the United States Coast Guard Community Foundation for years.\r\n</p>\nMy wife Justine and I are raising our family here in South Jersey. To grow the middle class, we must have a fair tax system that holds corporations and the wealthiest accountable. I will focus on lowering the cost of living by addressing hidden fees and reducing taxes on working families. As a small business owner, I know that 9 out of 10 new jobs come from small businesses. We can both support our small businesses and our families.\r\nHousing is the foundation of middle-class wealth. I will increase federal funding for affordable housing development in South Jersey and support first-time homebuyer assistance programs. Families deserve to put down roots in their community, and I will fight to provide that opportunity.</li><li>South Jersey's environment is diverse and beautiful, from our farmland, to pinelands, to wetlands, to our shores. Clean energy is both an environmental and economic issue. We need to utilize all of our resources to harness renewable energy.
