After completing my undergraduate education, I completed my J.D. at St. Louis University School of Law in 2010. \r\n<p>I built a successful career as a university professor and as a global business executive and senior university education administrator. My ambition has always been rooted in helping others. As I rose through the ranks of leadership, I became even more determined to use my influence abroad to help give others opportunities. I saw how communism put a stranglehold on individuality and discouraged recognition of talent. I became certain that expanding education with western values was the only way to enable personal advancement and provide people with knowledge of the promises of a better future. This made me stringently opposed to communism and strongly mistrusting of the governments of socialist countries. \r\n</p>\nI aspire to public service because I believe I have a new vision to lead the 5th Missouri Congressional District. I support reducing burdens on businesses, simplifying taxes, expanding access to capital, strengthening workforce training and apprenticeships, and removing barriers. I back infrastructure and revitalization efforts that help both urban and rural communities. My approach promotes free markets, fiscal discipline, and policies that make it easier to start businesses, hire workers, and grow success.</li><li>I believe in replacing Section 8 with an alternative approach called the American Dream and Wealth Building Act. The American Dream is built on home ownership, not on spending income on rent that creates no individual wealth for the earner. The core issue is the increasing number of renters and lack of supply of new homes for sale. Home ownership has long been the foundation of financial stability and generational wealth. Too many families are locked into renting instead of building equity. I support policies that expand access to homeownership through grants, mortgage guarantees, down payment assistance, and credit-building programs so working families can buy homes and build lasting wealth.</li><li>I believe rural Missouri is the backbone of the state and it deserves protection and investment. Our farmers and ranchers are essential to our economy and to the food security of our country. I support responsible farm subsidies that protect family farms, strong crop insurance, and safeguards against unfair foreign competition. I back investing in rural infrastructure, hospitals, and small business growth without federal micromanagement. Communities must be able to manage themselves. The federal government should provide tax incentives and grants that enable localities to do so. This will keep us from having constant government shutdowns. We should also require the budget deficit we run in any one year to be paid off within 5 years. This would allow us to run deficits in times of recession but require repayment in times of economic growth.
