The two got married at their Church, Crossroads Community Church in Gray, on November 12, 2023. Joshua loves spending time by the water, in the woods, or near a racetrack. He loves and appreciates the nature, the landscapes, and the animals in Maine. Joshua is a born again believer and has been for nearly 20 years of his life. He enjoys going to Church on Sunday and reading his Bible regularly. Joshua wants to bridge the divide in Augusta so that each night Mainers don't have to go to bed worried about what reckless policy the state pushed through the day before. He believes that Republicans and Democrats are so focussed on battling against one another that they aren't reasoning with each other. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office? Cutting Taxes\r\nJoshua aims to eliminate Maine state income tax by fiscal year 2027. With lower taxes, households can allocate more of their earnings toward building wealth; whether through homeownership, education, retirement savings, investments, or whatever else they choose to do with their money. This increased flexibility not only enhances their present quality of life, but also creates opportunities for long-term economic stability and upward mobility. Affordable Housing\r\nJoshua believes that reckless money printing and excessive state and federal spending is the cause for rampant inflation. Joshua will take all measures necessary to combat inflation and protect Maine families. Joshua will encourage developments within suburban parts of Maine to help naturally cultivate a greater supply of available homes and apartments. This will help to alleviate housing demand in this \"affordable housing\" crisis. Second Amendment\r\nJoshua undeniably supports the right of the second amendment to keep and bear arms and the ability to maintain a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state. He seeks to eliminate tolls for Maine Veterans on I-95, as they shouldn’t have to pay anymore than they already have for this country. Joshua believes funding mental health resources across rural Maine should be viewed as a necessity and implemented as a top priority.
