I’m 27 years old and have served as an ordained deacon at my church for the past two years.\r\n<p>My life has been rooted in serving this community. I run a children’s program and host summer sports camps for children of our community. Providing a place where they can feel safe, supported, and encouraged.\r\n</p><p>It was through these programs that I saw firsthand how hard life has become for many families here. I’ve had children come up to me in tears, asking if they could take home an extra meal. Not just for themselves, but for their mom and siblings. For some, it was the first full meal they had in weeks.\r\n</p><p>That changed me.\r\n</p><p>Seeing hardworking families struggle. Not from lack of effort, but from lack of opportunity. That made it clear, I couldn’t sit on the sidelines. Our community deserves leadership that understands their reality and is willing to fight for them. That is why I filed to run in October of 2025.\r\n</p><p>Before this, I’ve spent my life giving back however I could. Opening gyms so young men had a safe place to play basketball, building porches for widows, to even delivering Christmas presents to families in need. Service isn’t something I started when I decided to run. It doesn’t prepare students for real opportunities, and too often, it leaves them behind instead of setting them up to succeed.\r\n</p><p>When we fix education, everything changes.\r\nWe create pathways to high-paying jobs.\r\nWe reduce crime.\r\nWe strengthen our local economy.\r\nThat’s why this is my top priority.\r\n</p><p>I’m the strongest candidate in this race on education because I don’t guess—I listen. I’ve spent time with students and teachers, hearing directly what works and what doesn’t. I have seen it with my own eyes. Grown adults failed by the school system. They cannot read, and cannot do basic math. There is no real plan for when this happens. Whether its trade skills, mentorship programs, internships or financial literacy.
