I saw the lack of common sense from our elected leaders as they failed to plan ahead, prepare and account for our transportation infrastructure, school districts, and overall health of our small hometown. Our federal government is no different. As we send hundreds of billions of dollars overseas, our elected leaders have forgotten about America, our infrastructure, our schools and the overall health and happiness of our population. I seek to return basic common sense and accountability back into Congress to improve the overall health and happiness of American citizens.</li><li>In September of 2023, our country hit a record $33 trillion dollars in debt, while simultaneously running with an approximately $2.5 trillion dollar deficit. By the end of 2023, we will hit $34 trillion dollars in debt. This means we will add over $1 trillion dollars to our national debt in less than 100 days. To put this into perspective, 1 trillion seconds is roughly equivalent to 32,000 years. Yes, you read that right! The leaders of the greatest nation to ever exist, can't balance a checkbook! Furthermore, you and I will suffer the consequences from decades of ignorant, out of control spending. If elected, I will fight for common sense budgeting and spending, and pursue strategies to cut unnecessary spending.</li><li>America is currently under invasion because our crooked federal government has turned a blind eye and even assisted, in some cases, the cartel's establish trafficking routes allowing tens of thousands of illegal migrants to enter our country illegally, on a daily basis. During a Congressional hearing over the summer of 2023, witnesses testified the US had lost track of 85,000 migrant children which passed through our broken immigration system. This must stop. We must cut the waste and fraud out of our government, ensure money is being spent wisely, and that it is being used for its intended purpose. <br/><br/>\n<p>2 - Reduce taxes. When we are spending wisely, and making sure our dollars end up where they're supposed to go, there is no need to keep raising taxes. Instead of putting the burden of reckless overspending on the backs of taxpayers, Congress must get their own house in order before demanding more money from Americans.<br/><br/>\r\n3 - National security. Not only do we have an open border, but our internet, power, and our communications infrastructure is far from being secured.
