I’m committed to representing all Missourians with respect in Washington, D.C.\r\n<p>My life has been shaped by a wide range of experiences. I worked on my family’s dairy farm, spent time waitressing, worked in manufacturing and office administration, and eventually retired from the United States Postal Service. Those experiences taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. They also showed me that when people work together, they can find real solutions that make a difference in their communities.\r\n</p>\nAs a single mother, I have seen firsthand the challenges many families face, like finding affordable childcare, keeping</li><li>Our economy under this congressman is devastating our state and our country! \r\nWhen we talk about the economy, we are talking about everyday life. It means being able to find and keep a good job, afford childcare, access medical care, and pay for groceries without stress. In Missouri’s 4th District, many families are still struggling in these areas. During Congressman Mark Alford’s time in office, people have not seen enough relief. Costs remain high, wages have not kept up, and families feel stretched thin. We need leadership that focuses on real solutions for working families and strengthens our local economy.</li><li>In a district that consists of mostly rural counties, we need a representative who understands the different realities across our communities. Someone who knows the challenges farmers face in producing our food and understands the hurdles small businesses must overcome, but also recognizes the needs of urban areas that rely on manufacturing, entertainment, and other industries. That includes supporting the skilled trades and trade unions that keep our communities running. We need to recommit to systems that support all Americans, including protecting workers and ensuring opportunities are available to everyone.<br/>\r\nHealthcare is also a top priority, especially in rural communities. Following graduation from High School, I obtained a few different jobs in Springfield, I became a single mother and started attending Drury University in the evenings while working at Associated Grocers. I had an opportunity arose to take the USPS exam. Having passed the test, I began working at the post office in Springfield, joined the Union and became a Union Steward for many years.
