Yet we lack storm sirens where they are desperately needed, with only four in our entire district. THE PLAN When I’m in Congress, I’ll be proud to help pass the Childcare Is Infrastructure Act, which will make long-term investments into childcare to help expand access into currently underserved communities. Additionally, I’ll work to establish a national preschool program and support a childcare tax credit for low income families to ensure that no matter your zipcode, GA-14’s children can get off to a great head start. CLIMATE INFRASTRUCTURE THE ISSUE It may not be comfortable to admit it, but climate change is real and poses a genuine threat to Northwest Georgia. More intense storms and the natural disasters that come with hold the potential to devastate our communities. Yet we lack storm sirens where they are desperately needed, with only four in our entire district. If we want to be prepared for our changing climate, we need to invest now. THE PLAN We need to invest in 21st-century storm warning systems that will help make sure that we’re ready for floods, tornadoes, and other environmental disasters.
